Energy Positive Homes

Housing

Energy Positive houses are now a viable alternative to traditional houses. Modern method of construction allows houses to be produced off-site and 60% faster than  traditional real estate Developments, allowing us to build back better and completely remove the need for fossil fuels from residential property.

Energy positive houses from luxury bespoke homes to affordable housing can now be produced and delivered for all markets and budgets. Currently, houses can be up to 800% energy-positive based on the average household usage of 4000KwH per annum.

Our houses are primarily energy efficient through the engineering and implementation of airtight enveloping, as well as thermal enveloping, ensuring heat retention is achieved. This is unlike traditionally built houses which lose significant levels of heat through walls, roofs and windows.

Attractively integrated solar photovoltaic panels (PV) with both roof and facade integration allows solar architecture to optimize the ability to harvest and generate significant levels of renewable energy far beyond the requirements of the homeowner’s traditional electricity requirements. Insuring the homes are both energy positive and attractive is a vital part of the CurveBlock process, we are not using the traditional large glass panels that overshadow the attractiveness of homes.

Battery storage integration allows you the option to also store excess renewable energy, making energy available to draw upon as and when required such as night-time or even main grid power cuts.

Electric vehicle charging is also available from the house, allowing owners to charge their vehicles for free with fossil-fuel-free renewable energy, saving owners money whilst helping to save the environment.

Air source pumps are also a very efficient heat source for thermally efficient buildings.

Inter-seasonal heat storage and ground source heat pumps can also be integrated with all our houses if budgets permit for these technologies.

Rainwater harvesting can also be implemented within the houses to assist with lowering mains water consumption whilst saving homeowners money on their water bills.

Smart home tech also allows the homeowner the ability to control and manage their security, lighting, heat & power directly or remotely, whilst also seeing energy consumption & generation data.

House Typologies

House designs which are viable are no different from traditional house designs. We are currently producing 2/3/4 & 5 bed houses over one, two, or three floors. Produced for all budgets from local authority affordable housing through to luxury bespoke homes.
